As a visitor to Kenya or a local resident, you may be wondering about the customs of tipping your chauffeur. In this article, we'll break down the best practices for showing appreciation for your driver's hard work and expertise.
Why Tip Your Chauffeur?
Tipping is a way to show gratitude for exceptional service, especially when it comes to luxury transportation. By tipping your chauffeur, you're acknowledging their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring your safety on the road.
- Exclusivity: As a high-end chauffeur service, CrestDrive Nairobi offers personalized attention and unique experiences that justify a higher level of service.
How Much to Tip?
The amount you tip depends on several factors, including:

- The quality of service provided
- The local customs and expectations
Here are some general guidelines for tipping in Kenya:*
| Service Type | Tipping Range |
|---|---|
| Standard Chauffeur Service (1-3 hours) | 10% - 15% of the fare |
| Extended or Luxury Chauffeur Service (4+ hours) | 15% - 20% of the fare |
| Airport Transfers | $5-$10 per person |
